In the beginning…

We start of with digital clothing, a new economy of digital wearables are taking hold. Perhaps it follows the fast fashion movement, the visual culture of instagram, and the growth of skins in gamings, but people care about innovating with their clothing. Check out the Institute for Digital Fashion for more.

@zero10_ar Imagine if you could dress up quickly like that in front of the mirror. Wait, it’s already possible with our AR Mirror 😎 #zero10app #digitalclothing #digitalfashion #armirror ♬ оригинальный звук - zero10_ar

You can even design

your own clothes in virtual reality and then have them made for you, completing the personalisation of consumer culture.

Connecting lifestyle

with health is becoming a bigger part of the immersive technology world. Here’s a connected mirror providing health insights by stepping in front of it.

Bringing health

closer to sports is also a key feature of the technology, but immersive sport also requires physical space. here’s a mixed reality sport experience, demonstrating how physical activity may look soon.

It’s not just leisure activity

either, the elite athletes are embarking into a new era. Here’s the Olympic Esports Series, which precedes the first Olympic Esports Games, likely to take place in 2026. Here’s one of its feature sports, VR table tennis.

Another full body

immersive sport is taekwondo, which was also showcased at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

New sports

are also being created around this immersive tech, here I am playing HADO for a BBC Children in Need demo!

Education

is also becoming a big part of emerging technology, here’s the Apple Vision Pro dinosaur encounter, released in 2024

Physical spaces

are being reimagined in immersive spaces too, here’s a university of salford building we created in a metaverse world with the company PixelMax.

Our heritage

is also being reimagined in far more detail, connecting up our history and memories in alternative documentary formats, like this Assassin’s Creed game, which recreates Ancient Greece.
