The AquAIRium (2017)

Produced for Manchester Science Festival in 2017

The AquAIRium was created to bring people closer to our marine biology research. The idea behind it was to allow people to step into an aquarium on dry land and the project premise was informed by my work on drones, which was taking place at the time. The outcome was a space with flying fish and insights into the impacts of humanity on our natural world.

Introducing the AquAIRium

This collaborative and inclusive projects brought some our brightest emerging talent and Dr Stuart Robertson is no exception. A PhD research in my school at the time, it was fantastic to involve him in this production which was closely connected to his research.
