Sport 2.0 is my new book published by The MIT Press. It takes readers on a whirlwind tour of how digital technology has changed how sports are played, watched, and how we evaluate performance. It covers everything from social media to virtual reality.

This digital resource accompanies the book and provides additional insight into many of the references, including links to video resources, images, and data that is not available anywhere else, sometimes because the content has been removed from the Internet.

#CheersToSochi

Around the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, McDonald's ran a social media campaign called Cheers to Sochi. The Twitter hashtag #cheerstosochi was hi-jacked by activists and a mock website replicated the McDonald's campaign site, but with a twist.

On the lead up to the2012 London Games, citizen journalists in Scotland created this initiative to follow the Olympic torch relay around the country.
